Passivation Plane Ion Implanted Silicon (PIPS) detector is the product of modern semiconductor technology. It uses planar technology and photolithography technology to determine the geometry of the detector. By precisely controlling the oxide passivation, ion implantation is used to control the formation of precise connections, which is necessary for low reverse leakage current and thinner entrance windows. PIPS detectors have the following advantages over older technologies:

1. All structural edges are embedded inside, and no epoxy edge sealing agent is required;

2. The incident window is durable and can be easily cleaned and wiped;

3. In order to obtain better energy resolution, the connecting contact is accurately formed by ion implantation and is thinner;

4. The leakage current of noise is usually 0.1 to 0.001 of SSB and DJ type detectors;

5. The thickness of the incident window is smaller;

6. The standard detector can be heated to 100°C;

7. can be customized to the required size.

what we can offer.PIPS detector types are divided into two main categories: the Sustainable Air Monitoring Plane (CAM) series PIPS detectors and the Full Depletion (FD) series PIPS detectors. CAM series PIPS detectors are suitable for α and β particle detection of continuous air type and offline measurement filter sample measurement, and are mainly used for radon meter and daughter aerosol detection. FD series PIPS detectors are mainly used for α and β particle energy spectrum measurement and are standard detectors for charged particle spectrometers.

detector is300 μm and 500μm can be provided; In terms of interface, the detector can choose Microdot, BNC and SMA interfaces. In addition, ceramic shell, PCB board and metal shell packaging can be provided. The product specifications mainly provide the following sizes and models, which can be customized according to user requirements.
