Alpha vacuum chamber (PAVC-201)
Alpha VacuumCavity (PAVC-201)
PAVC-201 vacuum chamber is designed for routine alpha / beta counting applications using semiconductor radiation detectors and radioactive samples. This convenient and durable chamber may have many applications, two examples of which are its use in educational laboratories for demonstrationsdetector and counting principle for smear counting in radiology laboratories.
detector is installed in the center of the chamber lid, and the sample is installed on the support rod at a pre-selected distance from the detector. This design makes it possible to establish and measure the probe-to-sample distance before placing the assembly into the chamber. Due to the easy operation, the detector can be replaced without touching the detector. Another convenience is that the support rods on the sample holder can be used as feet to support the lid when it leaves the chamber.
Since the vacuum pump and exhaust function are combined in one valve, it is not necessary to turn off the vacuum pump when changing samples. Rotation of the valve 1/4 turns opens the chamber to a vacuum while sealing the vent passage.
