Description:

Thallium doped sodium iodide-NaI(Tl), is a classic scintillator for detecting gamma-radiation of intermediate and low energies. It has the greatest light output among all the scintillators and a convenient emission range coinciding with a maximum efficiency of photomultipliers with bialkali photocathodes.

Currently the largest crystal is at 150 mm diameter x 400 mm length. Final available products included bare crystal-no housing, encapsulated crystals, in both standard and ruggedized versions, as well as the assembly detectors with light sensors PMT or SiPM.

Compared to other scintillation materials, NaI(Tl) crystals offer advantages such as high density, high photon yield and relatively low cost. However, they are hygroscopic, meaning they can absorb moisture from the environment, which can degrade their performance over time. Therefore proper handling and storage techniques are necessary to maintain the crystal's efficiency and longevity. We have standard encapsulation with Aluminium housing and optical window. As for the ruggedized version, the Stainless Steel or Titanium housing with welded window, for harsh environment during like MWD can also be achieved.

Beside the NaI(Tl) scintillator crystal, we have the capability to assemble photo-multiplier tubes(PMTs) on the crystal with standard 14 pins, also the whole sodium iodide scintillation detector included a voltage divider, pre-amplifier and  4 pin connector is workable, which has been widely used in the nuclear radiometric detection, point /continuous level measurement, density measurement, geological exploration and other relevant field.
